Evaluating Communication Technologies for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

For the deaf to communicate in a hearing world, they often rely on technology. This study, completed by an interdisciplinary team for the Victorian Deaf Society in Melbourne, Australia, examines technology usage, availability, ease of use, and effectiveness. Additionally, technologies in use in other parts of world and other upcoming technologies were researched. Quaboag River Bridge Replacement Design

The Quaboag River Bridge located in Brookfield, MA is to be replaced through the Accelerated Bridge Program. In this Major Qualifying Project, alternative designs for the Quaboag River Bridge were investigated and evaluated based on a set of established criteria. As a result of the evaluation process a prestressed concrete, spread box girder design was created based on AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.
